Rooted in Community. Built by Youth.

United Hands began with a belief that youth could be more than future leaders — we could be the ones solving real-world problems now. And we are.

How We Started

United Hands launched in the GTA with support from local youth volunteers who saw food insecurity rising around them. We stepped up, organizing food drives and cooking hot meals in our own kitchens.

Today, we’re partnering with foodbanks in Mississauga and other regions of the Greater Toronto Area. We are continuously building systems to reach families experiencing poverty, displacement, or recent resettlement — including refugees, asylum seekers, and new immigrants.

Who We Serve

  • Refugees and asylum seekers
  • Families facing unemployment or low income
  • New immigrants struggling to afford groceries
  • Local shelters and community care hubs

What We Stand For

Compassion

We center care in everything we do — from the way we pack a meal to the way we treat our community.

Action

We don’t wait for change — we create it. With urgency, with intention, and with unity.

Collaboration

We partner with local businesses, schools, and food banks to maximize our reach and multiply impact.
